One of the most popular marine reserves in Mexico, “LOS ARCOS” is a group of granite islands that perch out of the water in the southern part of the Bay of Banderas. With depths ranging from 30-1600 feet, the waters around Los Arcos are the deepest in the entire bay. You can discover the thrill of diving in the Cañón del Diablo and El Bajo, the fascinating underwater mountain range, while observing the abundance of lobsters, octopuses, rays, eels, moray eels and much other marine life.

Located 6 miles west of the Marietas Islands and the border of Banderas Bay, El Morro is a series of stone mounds at depths of up to 150 feet. El Morro gives you the opportunity to dive between caves and 50-foot tunnels and explore its rocky walls, giving more experienced divers a great opportunity to practice a more technical diving skill. Home to an incredible diversity of marine life including lobsters, turtles, octopuses, sharks, seahorses, dolphins, catfish, mackerel, yellowtail, swordfish, and the largest eels and rays you have ever seen. This dive site is recommended for advanced divers or open water divers with more than 20 log dives in the last 6 months.

Offering certified divers the opportunity to explore caves, arches and steep walls, Corbeteña is a great dive site with moderate currents and depths of up to 120 feet, with visibility ranging from 40 to 120 feet. Trips to this incredible dive site are limited to small groups of experienced divers. The incredible slopes on each side of the table make it a unique diving experience and due to its location outside the bay. The name Sequial means “dry area” indicating that it is one of the few shallow areas near Corbeteña Island. The depths in this part of the bay reach up to 1.5 miles, making it an area popularly frequented by great marine life such as tuna, sailfish, and sometimes shark.
